Help Support Seneca Park AAZK Conservation Events

Throughout 2019, zookeepers at the Seneca Park Zoo have been organizing various "conservation days" to raise funds and awareness for our favorite animal conservation organizations.

 Some of these organizations include:
  • Bowling for Rhinos (International Rhino Foundation)
  • Polar Bear Days (Polar Bear International)
  • World Penguin Day (SANCCOB)
  • Sea Lion Day (Marine Mammal Care Center)
  • Otter Day (Save Vietnam's Wildlife, Otter Rescue)
If you've been unable to attend some of our events but would like to help out financially we have an easy-to-use PayPal Donation Page.

Simply select your amount and which event you'd like to contribute to and we will add your donation to our fundraising from that particular event.

2019 Bowling For Rhinos


HAVE A GREAT EVENING AND SAVE SOME BIG FRIENDS

Come join the Seneca Park Zookeepers for their 19th annual "Bowling for Rhinos" fundraiser. Your chance to hang out with zoo staff, eat some pizza, show off your bowling skills (or not)... and support rhino protection, around the world.

When: Friday, June 14
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm (Bowling begins at 7:00)

Where does your donation go? Over the past 18 years, Seneca Park Zookeepers have raised more than $46,000 with our Bowling for Rhinos events. Nationally, more than $500,000 is raised annually through these events. The first $150,000 will go to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, Africa. Any additional monies raised will be donated to the International Rhino Foundation to be used at other rhino sanctuaries in Asian countries. If the rhino is to gain a stable population, it must have a suitable habitat in which to live. With your support, we can provide this habitat and these valuable ecosystems can be protected for future generations to enjoy.

How can you support Bowling for Rhinos?
  1. Come out and bowl: Registration is $25 per bowler. You get 3 games of bowling, pizza dinner (Courtesy of Mark's Pizzeria), shoe rental, soda and an entry into our door prize drawing. Anyone who has at least $40 in sponsors will receive a specially designed "Bowling for Rhinos" T-shirt. There is also a prize for the bowler who collects the most sponsorship dollars.
  2. Sponsor a bowler: You can sponsor a bowler for any amount you are comfortable with. Sponsorship is a flat amount (Not per pin). This way you will know your pledge up front and bowlers will not have to find you after the event. Anyone who pledges $40 or more will receive a "Bowling for Rhinos" T-shirt.
  3. Donate a Prize: Donate an item or service to be raffled off or given away as a door prize. This is a great way to promote your business while supporting a great cause.
  4. Become a Corporate Sponsor: Make a donation of $100 or more and we will "Thank" your business during the event AND on our Facebook page. (Remember, all donations are tax-deductible and all checks should be made out to "Seneca Park Zoo AAZK Chapter")
How can you enter?
  1. If you would like to register as a bowler or sponsor a bowler, and prefer to send a check, you can download a printable form HERE. If you prefer to enter online and use a debit or credit card you can do so HERE.
